Toy Horses

Our Grovely Wood horses

are all hand crafted by

our daughter Emily.

These were originally made without any mane or tail, and were part of the collection of toy accessories which were provided for play by visiting children  

Keepsake Horses

We also make a special Keepsake version of our little horses, made with your own mane or tail hair supplied from your very own special horse or pony.  If you can supply us with a good description of your horse, or photos from as many perspectives as possible (especially helpful if recreating distinctive markings, socks/stocking, piebald/skewbald etc) then Emily will do her best to produce a Keepsake version of your own special horse/pony.

We launched our first ‘vehicle’ at Badminton Horse Trials

during May 2015  

Our very own Land Grover (yes…it is a play on the very popular Land Rover, and doesn’t look too dissimilar to a series I)  We hope you will agree it looks just  right pulling our new little horse trailer.

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new product from our farm range.

First seen at Badminton Horse Trials 2017, the ‘Grovely Werguson’ tractor

comes in three fetching colours;

Dark Green,

Red and Pale Blue.  

coming onto our stand to play with our stables.  However, during our launch show last year we were asked if we would sell them, and by the end of the show we had realised that they were rather popular with our young toy demonstrators.  During this past year Emily set about refining the design and perfecting the techniques used to make this adorable little horse.  Each one is still individually hand crafted by Emily, and painted using the same protecting Osmo®  finish as our toy Stable houses and farm buildings.  The Osmo® colour tints allow for the distinct wood grain and birch ply layers to be fully appreciated, although we can produce these with a more solid colour if  requested.  With the introduction of their long flowing real horse hair or leather tassel mane and tails, then these lovely little toys will hopefully allow for extra play when it comes to combing and plaiting!
